Alumni Picnic SetThe date for the First Annual Alumni Picnic has been set to Sunday, May 19, 2013. The event will begin at 12:30 but continue until we have served all of the alumni who have reserved a spot. We invite all alumni of the program, as well as special guest of our alumni to the picnic. Frances Carter, 20 year director of the program says she is looking forward to catching up with any and all alumni she can through this event. The event is free of charge to alumni, however, donations are being accepted. In order to attend, we ask that you RSVP by confirming your attendance and your guest by emailing hunter@swhsraptorcenter.org. We look forward to a wonderful afternoon.A business meeting of the Alumni Association will take place towards the end of the picnic. We hope all alumni will be able to attend. Project Liberty UpdateProject Liberty is well underway, although to the public, it may not seem this way. Currently, leaders of the program are working on the business of plans for the Liberty Nature Center, improving current facilities and processes, and building a strong public support system. While we expected to have the nature center running by the end of 2013, we are now looking at a new opening date in 2014. Regardless, we are closer than ever to our dreams. |
